The Smoking Coconut

Whether you’re a smoker or a non-smoker you will love this coconut (unless you’re allergic to coconut) we bring you to the world of TIKI! Over proof rum, and fire. Everyone loves tiki cocktails, they’re a special blend of cocktail with fire and Exotic fruit. They just remind us of summer holidays and good times (And sometimes, for the few unlucky. vomit) Who can refuse a Pina colada on a beach (your flat in the city centre with the heating on full blast watching the beach on Netflix)

Ingredients

  • 50 ML White Rum
  • 22.5 ML Lime Juice
  • 25 ML Pineapple Juice
  • 25 ML Smoked coconut See Recipe Below
  • 10 ML Vanilla Syrup
  • 10 ML Almond Syrup
  • 3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 10 ML Over Proof Dark Rum Float

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients apart from the over proof rum to a shaker and shake with cubed ice.
  • Strain into a tiki mug over cubed ice.
  • Slowly pour the over proof rum on top.
  • Garnish in a classic tiki fashion. over the top, with mint sprigs, fruit wedges, anything you have on hand.

How To Make The Smoked Coconut

For the smoked coconut you need a smoking gun and a whole coconut. Drill a hole and drain the coconut. Make sure you can fit the smoking guns’ tube into the hole, Add wood chips to the smoking gun and smoke the hell out of the coconut. If you don’t have a smoking gun, you can use the wood chipping and instead of drilling a hole into the coconut you need to cut it in half and light the chipping inside the coconut, close the to halves and Leave it for a while to soak in the flesh. Cut away any dark patches. Once the coconut smells smoky, cut away the flesh and add to a blender, blend till smooth consistency.
